Information on where to find the PEVSoft tools...

Stage 2:Downloading the Patch

Once you have completed stage 1, you are now ready to download the patch.

To do this, you will need to know your Trainz build number. This is the 5-digit number at the bottom of the Launcher screen.

I will stress now that if you have a version from Steam, you will not be able to follow these instructions, as Steam versions will automatically patch as and when a patch becomes available.

If you have TS2010 build 43361 (which is the case for all digital downloads from sources other than N3V direct) you will not be able to patch your version.

Your Trainz serial number must be registered with N3V before patching.

Method 1: Automatic Patching

Follow the following instructions to check for and download any automatic patches for your version.

1. Click Options on the Trainz Launcher.
2. You will need the tab that contains your serial number.
3. If you haven't already, enter your username and password in the boxes provided.
4. If the Patch Trainz button is available, click it, then click Run Patcher when prompted. You can then move onto Stage 3.
5. If the Patch Trainz button is not available, you need to use the manual method.

Method 2: Manual Patching

If the Automatic Patching method does not work for some reason, you will need to download the manual patch for your version.

I have a list of patches available here (right-click the link, and click Open in New Tab), but this list is not exhaustive. If you have a regional version, you will need to visit the website of the regional supplier to download your patch.

Once you have downloaded the .exe file, disconnect from the Internet, and disable your antivirus software, before proceeding onto Stage 3.
